IRRIGATION - Side Roll Systems

Wheel Line (sideroll) irrigation systems are the simplest type of mechanical move sprinkler systems available. The 4" or 5" lateral pipe transports water to sprinklers spaced evenly down it’s length, and it acts as an axle for the 5’, 6’, 7’, 8’, or 10’ diameter wheels spaced at 40’ intervals. The system is powered by a gasoline engine in combination with a hydraulic pump and gears mounted at the middle of the lateral line.
